Founded in 2014, Disaster Reduction Nepal was born from a simple realization: disasters in Nepal are not only natural events, but the result of long-standing vulnerabilities in development, inequality, and environmental neglect. We believe safety cannot be imposed—it must be built from within communities.
By listening first and working locally, we bridge the gap between national policies, global goals, and grassroots realities. Through community preparedness, resilient construction, youth leadership, and strong partnerships with local governments, we work toward one shared goal—a safer, stronger, and more resilient Nepal, built from the ground up.
